1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us and information generated automatically when you use our Service.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed — never stored in plain text). If you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive your name and email from Google.
Referral Data: When you register using a personalized referral link, we store a referral code identifier linked to your account to attribute reward metrics under our Affiliate Program.
User-Generated Content: We store content you upload or create on the Service, including resumes, job descriptions, interview session transcripts, coaching summaries, and AI-generated feedback reports.
Usage & Analytics Data: We automatically collect data about how you use the Service — including session counts, feature usage, plan tier, credits consumed, and activity timestamps — to operate and improve the platform.
Payment Information: Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full credit card number or payment details on our servers. We receive a Stripe Customer ID and subscription status from Stripe.
Device & Log Data: We may collect IP addresses, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and other technical information when you access our web or desktop application.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

- Generate AI-powered interview answers, coaching feedback, and resume analysis tailored to your uploaded documents
- Process payments and manage your subscription or credit balance
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets, billing receipts)
- Monitor usage against plan quotas and enforce fair-use limits
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your resume or interview content for advertising purposes.
3. AI & Data Processing
Hiria AI is powered by large language models (LLMs) provided by third-party AI providers, including OpenAI and Anthropic. When you use the Service:
- Interview questions, your resume, and the job description you upload are sent to these AI providers to generate answers in real time.
- Screenshots or screen captures (for coding/MCQ solve features) are processed by AI vision APIs.
- Audio transcription is performed via speech-to-text services.
These third-party providers process your data under their own terms of service and privacy policies (OpenAI: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy; Anthropic: anthropic.com/legal/privacy). We use API-level access, which means your data is not used to train their general-purpose models under their current API policies.
Session transcripts and AI responses are saved to your account so you can review them later. You can delete your session history at any time from your dashboard.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:
- Account data is retained until you delete your account.
- Session transcripts and AI responses are retained until you delete them or delete your account.
- Billing records are retained for 7 years to comply with financial and tax regulations.
- Log data is retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including:
- TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Encryption of data at rest in our database

- Role-based access controls limiting employee access to production data
- Regular security reviews
No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
